Somewhere in 1,000 A.D (people say 1,001 A.D to be precise) the first muslim invasion into India succeeded in defeating the hindu kings of Afghanistan and thereby gaining access to india. Muslim invaders waged between 15 to 17 wars with the hindu kings of Afghanistan and failed, until Mohammed of Ghazni succeeded in 1,001 A.D.

After he lived in India for a while and converted some hindu populace into Muslims, he took apprx a million un-converted hindus as slaves and returned back to Turkey, with his slaves walking on bare feet behind his caravan in chains, from punjab in India all the way to Turkey, through the Khyber pass in the mountain range currently in pakistan/afghanistan that was called as ‘Paariyatra Parvat’ in ancient times. Greeks called it Parapamisos or Paropanisos. That mountain range is a continuation of himalayas into the west and was covered in entirety in snow and bone breaking cold. As a result in each of Ghazni’s trips back & forth with hindu slaves on foot, 1/2 to 3/4ths of the hindu slaves died when passing through this mountain range as they were ill equipped to handle the climate there.

When Mughal emperors established their rule in India later, they ordered executions of conquered hindu kings & people from afghanisthan, who refused to convert to Islam, by taking them to this mountain range and executing them. Since millions nd millions of hindus died/executed on this mountain range, this mountain range was called as ‘Hindu Kush’ by the persians. Kush - means killer in persian. That name stuck and today these mountain ranges are called by that name. This is the hindu geonicide.
